Vehicular collision event[edit]
Brief comment - in the text regarding Brandy Norwood's well-publicized vehicular collision it states:
"Norwood committed vehicular manslaughter"
But later on it says that there was insufficient evidence to charge her for it. I would argue - I'm no apologist for Norwood not a fan - that because the statement is not backed up by a criminal prosecution, the text should more approximately read something like:
Norwood was involved in a vehicular collision in which a person was killed
According to Law.com, the definition of vehicular Manslaughter includes that it's a "crime of causing the death of a human being due to illegal driving of an automobile, including gross negligence". The writer is thus asserting that Norwood committed a crime although it was never prosecuted as such - that's not a neutral position.

Brandy Norwood → Brandy (singer) – I am re-opening this discussion, as I still (after a long time), find it quite ridiculous that her name here is Brandy Norwood. People, her mononym is just Brandy, look at all her single and and album covers for God's sake. Do you see her last name on B7? on Two Eleven? No, because its not a name she or her label recognize her by professionally. Do we right "XO (BeyoncĂ© Knowles song)", or "S&M (Rihanna Fenty song)? No. This must be discussed and hopefully changed. Please, everyone comment and try and reach consensus. Williamsburger26 (talk) 00:52, 13 November 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. —Nnadigoodluck███ 11:47, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Natural disambiguation, in this case her full name, is still preferred per WP:NATURAL. -- Calidum 14:54, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- A late addition, but I should note that reliable sources do use her full name (not always, but enough that we can also use it for disambiguation purposes). See [1] [2] [3] and [4]. -- Calidum 15:15, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strong support Definitely rename to her mononym name. Happypillsjr ✉ 14:54, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strong support Absolutely rename to her mononym. If "Aaliyah" and "Monica" can be used as their mononyms so should Brandy HunterDawn (talk) 15:58, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strong supportShould it not be "Brandy (entertainer)" as she is a singer AND an actress. But she is definitely known as just "Brandy"92.18.115.154 (talk) 15:59, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support Brandy (entertainer) as singer and actress. Common name, plus aligns with List of songs recorded by Brandy, Brandy videography, and List of awards and nominations received by Brandy. Randy Kryn (talk) 20:49, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:NATURAL. I don't find the supports convincing as they don't explain why we should use a parenthetical dab when WP:ATDAB ranks natural disambiguation over parentheticals. While she may go by a mononym that's simply not an available title, so it's better to add her last name instead of a parenthetical because it's more natural, recognizable, and precise. The proposed title redirects here, so readers should have no problem finding this article even if they don't know her last name. — Wug·a·po·des 04:12, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:MONONYM. "Brandy Norwood" is certainly "known and fairly often used." It's how she's listed in imbd, for instance. Dohn joe (talk) 16:40, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose – As an actress, she is often credited unter her full name (see IMDB). As a singer, she is known under her mononym; thus, only her discography and all articles on her albums and songs may display that. – Noboyo (talk) 22:30, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose – She is known by the mononym 'Brandy' as a signer; as an entertainer (actor, spokesperson, etc.) she is known by her full name. Should she ever publish a book or write a screenplay, she will most likely be credited by her full name. I believe the most natural solution would be to credit her page by her full name, and her subpages related to her musical career by the mononym (for example, "What About Us? (Brandy song)" rather than "What About Us? (Brandy Norwood song)". – Slayanawtacct (talk) 3:38, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
