I did collect coins when i wsa younger, touigh other things came about, so it slowly declined, but i still find it intresting, and have my collection. From my knowledge pennies in 1968 and 1969 were mnted but given the date 1967. Can that be confirmed? - fonzy
- I don't know of any minted in 1968 or 1969, what's the source of your knowledge? Admittedly some odd things happened with 1967 dated pennies - being struck on thick or thin flans, or in nickel-brass. -- Arwel
I looked it up again, and acoridng to 1 of teh coin proce guides i have 1968-1969 + 1970(non proof), they were minted btu all dated 1967. -fonzy
- I read this too, any more info? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.106.3.192 (talk) 20:21, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Not much at all. Probably in the nieghbourhood of 1-3 American dollars. (depending vastly on the condition. If it is in very good condition, it is worths significantly more than that) --Chopin-Ate-Liszt! 03:07, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

One penny coins[edit]
I presently have a 1890,1905,1906,1908,1910,1920,and a 1915 one penny coins and was wondering if they are worth anything? My Email address is neffsnest1@sbcglobal.net Thankyou. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.164.53.103 (talk) 17:11, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I have a 1936 George V One Penny coin. I have noticed that in all of the pictures I have seen of these coins they appear to be made of copper. The coin I have looks like silver. It also has a hole drilled through it at the top and looks like someone wore it on a chain or something. Were these coins ever minted in silver? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.153.229.147 (talk) 23:13, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
- If it's a standard-sized coin, then the answer is "no", though of course silver Maundy money pennies were produced - it's probably been silver-plated or electroplated for jewellery purposes. In any case, the fact that a hole's been drilled through it will have destroyed any collector value. -- Arwel Parry (talk) 16:12, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
