Ugliest animal on earth?[edit]

A nature program said this animal was voted to be the 'ugliest animal on earth.' Should I say this in the article? AbsoluteZero255 01:20, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Who on earth would say that a Shoebill was ugly? I find them to be fascinating. However, if you can cite the nature program, feel free to add it to the article. Rufous-crowned Sparrow 01:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Beastly Countdown: Shockers has Shoebill as #1 for being the ugliest animal, being uglier than turkeys!

Can it fly?[edit]

The article makes no mention of whether this is a flightless bird or not, except for the mention of a possible flightless fossil ancestor. Anybody care to find/add that info? 62.219.163.100 (talk) 11:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Who added in the "relationship to humans section" "Also in the Past they used to be bigger and Humans used to ride them and control them, when they lived up skyward, and they also were used by the guards and people all around as a transportation from island to island. This has been lost through time due to their shrinkening and humans have changed their pets to dogs, cats, little birds and the poor shoebills have had no other option but to stop growing that much and now only a midget with the triforce of courage is able to ride them..[7]" I don't have access to the book, but I highly doubt it mentions them being larger in the past and used as transportation by humans! Pop Culture Section?[edit]
